I was reminded this past week of something we all have heard at one time or the other the song, "Don't Worry, Be Happy." My son, Bryan had a conversation with one of his guides and the session, he wanted to talk to me. He told me that whenever he had some worrisome thoughts, he would hear the song shortly after those thoughts. We know it is a popular song, but also not one that is played a whole lot. It brought me back to the time when he was a child. Bryan would go around singing just the words, "Don't Worry, Be Happy." I mean a lot, but especially every time there was a worrisome thought that I had. Then a terrible event in our lives happened especially relating to Bryan and custody. Long story short, I was in a restaurant wondering what I was going to do or how I was going to accomplish what I needed to do. It was pouring rain outside and all the sudden the waitress says to a truck driver, what is the matter. He told her his problem and she says, "I think you just have to remember the words of that one song, Don't Worry, Be Happy!" I knew right there and then, I was being told by spirit all would work out and it did.
The point of this is to remind everyone..yes we seen terrible things going on. We feel worried, scared, fearful, nervous, anxious, you name the feeling we are probably going through one of them. Through this though, I have remained optimistic. Worry is the worst thing we can do. It takes away our power and gives it to something that really has none. Worry makes us less than the whole and eventually wears at us so much we fall further and further now a spiral of our own creation. Spirituality teaches us to be responsible and take back power, not give it away. It teaches us to be leaders, not followers. It teaches us that we have the power to change things or at least learn from those things, but not feel they have no purpose, but that through understanding they have purpose in our lives just showing us how much we are able to handle.
I have been in this position, both sides, worrier and warrior. One who is strong and in control and true to the path and the other, weak and out of control. This is our two sides, but we need to choose the one that gives us strength. Yes there is purpose in learning hard lessons, but we can change our way we react to them. We can go out of ourselves and connect the greater, the co-creator and work through our multitude of feelings and know we are Okay and we will be Okay. We will grow, learn and get back to some sense of normalcy. We will get back, hopefully to a better path with more reason, than doubt. We will connect again with people in face to face contacts, but with more awareness. We need to respect what we have and in the end, do like the song says. "Don't Worry, Be Happy!" The more joy we experience and happiness we have, releases endorphins and lifts our moods. It also raises our vibration and connects us more positively to life. In the end, we are better. Let yourself have a moment, whatever moment you need when thinking about the world, but always try and get your moment back to the good, the positive. Co-create what you want, you will be better for it..You will be Okay.
Blessings and Stay Healthy,
Steve
