Steven E. Woods has been referred to as a “Mystic” by Rev. F. Reed Brown, founder and former pastor and president of Arlington Metaphysical Chapel and former president of United Metaphysical Churches in Roanoke, Virginia. When he was a child his grandfather who had passed, came to him and told him the following: "Be a good boy. Listen to your Mom and Dad and one day you will go on to help the progression of spirit." Not knowing at the time that he had passed away just recently, he told his father what had happened, even down to what he was wearing. When his father told his mother on the phone what he said, she relayed that he was indeed wearing that suit. From then on he has always had experiences with spirit and the unknown his entire life. He has worked as a practicing Psychic/Medium with a national and international clientele from all walks of life for over 34 years. On a visit to the British Embassy, upon meeting Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip stopped and took interest in him and even invited him to the Washington Cathedral in Washington D.C. to attend the World Healing Summit he was hosting there. This is just one example of the people he has been fortunate to meet as he works hard to follow his heart and work. He has offered classes nationally and internationally, including the World Bank where he taught a class on Spirit Guides. He is the author of Beginning Mediumship and Psychic Development a book written and sold out after it's printing. He has worked as an artist and teacher in graphic design and digital media with his own online businesses. In his twenties he founded Takoma Park Metaphysical Chapel in Takoma Park, Maryland. He is currently a minister/missionary with United Metaphysical Churches and serving at Arlington Metaphysical Chapel till the end of 2018 where he offered counseling, readings and circles for both advanced and beginning attendees.
Steven is of Cherokee descent and draws upon his ancestry’s symbols and other Native American Indian modalities to enhance his work in both his readings and classes. His heart-felt approach has given him a well-earned reputation as a gifted teacher and spiritual counselor. He lives his life according to his personal philosophy which is "To be better than no one, but to be better than who I was yesterday."
